Rating: Good product
Reviewer: Jason Fife, Sunday, April 13, 2008
I have made two dives with this product and have already used the buddy tether line due to very limited visibility. It was nice. It fits very well in my BC and is nice to know I have it in case I need it. It all seems to be of good quality. I like the mesh bag that it came in as well.

Rating: Almost everything you need!

this kit would probably have saved me about 7 anguishing hours bobbing around 35 miles offshore. i didnt carry it when i was lost at sea after a dive 2 years ago. coast guard aircraft couldnt see me in the daylight without a sausage or mirror. this kit comes with a signal mirror, whistle, buddy tether, light stick and most of all a safety sausage all in a compact mesh bag. of course, now i dont dive without it. after dark, it was my flashlight that saved me, and i wont leave the dock without it either. andy

Good starter kit!! safety sausage is a huge thick plastic tube. very long, must twist the bottom to hold air. jon line very thin. inexpensive set up. all pieces effective. tidy little clip-on net bag holds all pieces.

Rating: Good Product - Better Price

Fortunately I didnt have to use any of this equipment on my recent diving trip, but the product was a steal at the price. It also wasnt to bulky under water.

Rating: Decent for the money

Im still pretty new to diving, and luckily I havent been forced to use any of my signal kit yet. However Im mostly confident that it could get me out of a bind. The pouch is the best part. It hooks nicely to my BCD, and keeps everything nice and compact. However, the safety sausage and signal mirror are pretty cheap. If your looking for "THE" kit to save you in any situation, this is not the one. If you mostly want a good safety sausage, get a heavier duty one with a built in valve. If your looking for a kit that will get you started, and can upgrade later, go for this.

Rating: SOS Signal Kit

Luckily, I havent needed this yet, but am happy to know it is there. Last Spring my newbie dive buddy swam away from me in a shore dive where there was a lot of boat traffic overhead. I kept surfacing but had to go back down for safety reasons. This kit, as well as the yellow boat signal, was ordered as a result. I never thought I would need one, but it is good to know it is there- just in case.

It came in very handy. However, instead of the buddy lanyard, I wish it had included a strap and attachment for the safety sausage as it is taking up room in my pocket.
