Your boot needs to be well fitted into the fin to get the strap on. I have the XL straps and have a 12 boot.

Questions and Answers for ScubaPro Jet Fin Spring Heel Straps:

  • Mike:

I have the Jet Fins in size XL. Do I order the L (10") or XL (12") spring strap

    Bill  (Certified Scuba Instructor at

Typically if you are using a wetsuit boot the 10" would work, for a drysuit boot order the 12".

  • Eric:

I recall the older-style straps being fairly heavy. What is the weight of these new straps, and how does that compare with the Innovative Grip Tight Spring Fin Straps you sell?

    Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at

Hello Eric you are looking at the difference of 0.3 pounds between the two fins straps.

  • Daina:

Does this set come with new pins or will I have to reuse the ones from the old straps?

    Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at

Hello Daina, yes these straps do come with the replacement pins.

  • Kattrina:

Hi. The measurement of the strap, is it measured from pin to pin or is it the length of the spring itself? The ones I have are 10" the length of the spring but 12" from the pin to pin. I need bigger than what I have.

    Bob  (Certified Scuba Instructor at

    Length of the spring.

  • Sam:

I use a Large jet fin with size 10 its boots. What size springs do I need? Thanks

    Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at

Hello Sam, you would need the size Large for your foot size.

  • Ty:

I have twinjet Med, size 9 boots what size should I order? Anyone know what these weigh? Thanks

    Chance  (Certified Scuba Instructor at

I''d recommend size large. They weigh about 0.5 lbs each strap.

  • Tim:

I have a set of XL Scubapro Jet fins that I use for my drysuit. The original straps are to short and I need replacement ones. What size spring straps should I get?

    Bob  (Certified Scuba Instructor at

    The XL size.

The spring strap allows you to easily and quickly slip on your fins. No struggling with adjustments or getting a twisted strap over your boots. The spring strap system simply rolls onto your heel and keeps the fin snugly, yet comfortably, on your foot. Its added durability and sturdiness make your Jet fins fit for a lifetime.
