Got these fins just in time for my dive trip to the Exumas in the Bahamas. This is my second pair of fins and now I hate my other ones! First these fins are superfast. My kicks are effortless. Never had one cramp in the 20 dives. I used less air and experienced both strong and light currents and they were excellent. Wouldnt have them without the spring straps for easy donning and doffing on a swim line. They are quite a bit longer than my other fins but luckily I have a tall gear bag so it was a perfect fit. The spring straps can be a bit tricky to adjust but once done no problem. Not much more I can say but "BUY THESE FINS" so happy I did.

Im very satisfied with the Atomic spring straps. It will be so much easier to put on the straps as opposed to rubber straps that need to be adjusted on each side. It is difficult to don the rubber straps when trying to enter the water from a rocky ledge while waves are crashing onto the rocks.

I have used other spring sets on multiple fins and by far these are the best feeling and easiest to down on and off. The ability to adjust the tension on these springs allows them to place the correct amount of tension. With a 5mm glove the fins were easy to place on my feet.

EAch manufacturer makes the fin straps to fit their fin types. While some may work with others, the intent is for the straps to be proprietary. Some companies, such as Scubapro and Mares tend to make things designed to work with their own products only. For more information on what fits your particular fin if they are not listed on the product you see on our website we advise you contact the manufacturer directly.

How do I adjust the tension of the Atomic spring straps? They are amazing and super easy to use but they feel slightly large for my feet and low rise boots (and I dont want to buy another pair of boots). I already lost a fin at 50 feet once, not a nice experience.
I need to adjust the springs to be slightly shorter (1 or 2 mm would be OK)

Hello Ramon, with those spring straps you can not make them tighter. The only way to get them tighter is to order the next size down in the spring straps.
