Questions and Answers for XS Scuba Cortez / Propel Fin Strap Assembly:

  • Gustavo:

Hi - I own a pair of "ScubaMax" strap fins. I dont see any model name or code written on them other than the size (L/XL). I lost one of the female buckle that attachs to the fins. I want to buy a replacement. I see numerous buckles in your site. This one (XS Scuba Cortez / Propel Dive Fin Strap Assembly) looks just like those in my fins. How could I make sure to get the right one? Also, I only need a buckle, or the female part of it, not the whole assembly. Thanks, regards, Gustavo

Bob  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Unfortunately this buckles are commoly sold in complete assemblies. The reasoning for this is that while the male and female portions of the buckles are commonly differnt, the post on the side of the fins that attach the assembly is generally about the same size. If you have the complete assembly you can change your straps and be ready to use it.

  • Gustavo:

Hi - I posted a question yesterday. I got an answer today to one of my concerns, thanks (see below). I had also asked how to make sure that I am getting the right buckle for my fins. I am only guided by how it looks. I dont know if the fit to the fin is universal. Thanks for any further help! Regards, Gustavo Gustavo Pesce: Hi - I own a pair of "ScubaMax" strap fins. The only certain way to tell would be to physically compare them to another buckle assembly. The attachment post on most all fins are fairly similar meaning you can use just about any buckle assembly successfully.

Hi - Following up on the thread below. It seems that it is likely that these buckles will fit my fins. If they dont, can I return them?
