Rating: Fin Socks a Must For Easy Donning of Wet Suit

I got a Lycra skin on the advice of one of the pros at Scuba.com., that it would help me slide into and out of a wet suit more easily, and have never regretted the decision to buy it. But I didnt get fin socks at the time. Now that I have them, I would not dive a heavy wet suit without them. With these covering my bare feet, the wet suit slides on more easily, by yet another whole order of magnitude. For less than the cost of a good pair of hiking socks, these things do a great job of reducing the chore involved in getting into my wet suit.

I ordered these socks to complement the new diving boots that I had purchased. Even though the boots fit great, their interior surface was of a smooth rubber, therefore when they got wet they were slippery. The socks eliminated this problem completely. When wet the socks make my feet feel more comfortable inside the boots. The lycra socks do not absorb a lot of water and dry really quick when you hang dry them. Another big plus is that the socks prevent the friction between boot and foot, therefore no blisters.

During the pool session of scuba class, I have been using my full foot fins. I saw these "Deep See Lycra Fin Socks" at scuba.com and decided to try them. These are a great improvement over bare feet in fins. I really like them, and will buy more. They have protected my feet in my fins and while walking on the concrete around the pool and changing rooms. One caution, they do tend to be a little slick in the pool. That slickness does help getting the fins on and foot comfort while wearing the fins.

This is a "must have" item. I have been snorkeling for many many years and just put up with blisters/sore spots on my feet during extended trips. I ordered some for my whole family and we spent every day for a week snorkeling and everyone loved them. Not one sore spot or blister!!! Another concern I had was how they would hold up to heavy usage in the salt water, but they are still like new.

This very thin sock does wonders. I was most impressed after snorkeling for a solid week, that my feet never felt like they had fins on. My feet are very sensitive and get beat up pretty good just by wearing fins barefoot. I get sores all the time and my feet hurt, but not this time. Because of the Deep Sea Lycra Fin Socks. They made the world of snorkeling perfect for my feet.

My first impression was that they are too tight and hard to get on my size 11 foot. They did their job and helped avoid the irritation from wearing fins for 5 days in a row. My only concern is how long will they last since Im pushing the limit getting my foot in them. Smaller feet shouldnt have this problem.

The Lycra Swim Socks I bought recently have virtually eliminated any discomfort I experienced wearing swim fins. They are lightweight, so it feels like you arent wearing any socks at all. They eliminate friction between the fins and your feet. No blisters!!!! I would buy this product again.

These socks worked great both to keep our feet from developing blisters with hours of snorkeling, and as a mild form of protection for walking across pahoehoe (especially pahoehoe thats been in the sun all day). Thin enough to fit in the fins we already had, too.

I liked the material, but I have a size 11 1/2 foot and I couldnt puul the sock up over my ankle without tearing the seams. Much too tight to wear for me. My wife said hers were fine and protected her feet in the fins.

These socks are a must when you use full foot fins, they make easier putting on your wetsuit also. They are just a little loose on the leg, but since they go under the wetsuit, they hold fine.
