Rating: Ocean Quest 3mm Low Top Premium Super-Stretch Titanium Medium Sole Dive Boots Review - Scuba Gear Reviews
Reviewer: Peter W.
I bought these boots for dive trips to the Caribbean region for warm water diving. For the most part, they did what I had hoped they would. I use them with Aqualung HotShot fins. In the past I had used these fins barefooted, but I wanted a decent pair of boots for after diving and these boots were OK. They seem to be a bit larger than I had expected. Other reviews said to buy a 1/2 size larger, but I think they actually wore like they were a 1/2 size too large even though I bought 1/2 size smaller than recommended (I bought to fit size 11, though I wear size 11.5). Im not sure if I would buy a different size if I bought them again because the combination of my fins and these boots probably account for the less-than-perfect fit.

These were the first dive boots I got for myself....at 6 6" tall with size 15EE feet I would go on vacation and find most dive centers had to scramble to find gear that would fit me. I took these with me on vacation last month to the Philippines.Went Snorkleing in Boracay and Scuba Diving in Subic and the diveboots worked great and were very comfortable.I would recommend them for anyone.

The dive boots were just what I was looking for. Needed something for shore entry that was lighter weight than my regular dive boots that I use for boat dives. These were great for walking on sand beaches, coral, and rocks. Held up without any damage and were easy to put on or take off either in the water or on land. Mike

these boots are very comfortable. i have a wide foot and have difficulty in getting a five boot to fit. most dive boots are too narrow, even when i order a whole size larger that my shoe size. i usually swim in warm water w/o a wetsuit or only in a short sleeve wetsuit top without bottoms. these boots are great for those who do not need a tall dive boot with wetsuit bottoms in cool water. these low top dive boots are: (1) high enough to take my fin straps w/o straps edging up over the boot topand (2)have an excellent grip sole that allow me to walk on rough and slippery surfaces (including coral) and wet slick floors safely. after getting a pair for myself, my wife and several of my friends have also purchased. these low top dive boots also make a good all round swim shoe around/in the pool, in the locker-room shower (protection form athletes foot), and cooling on the hot beach mid-day sand.

Rating: Hard to know what your getting via the internet.
Reviewer: Richard Y.
Appreciate Scuba.com trying to get me what I was looking for. But, inspite of asking what, I felt were "the right questions", and gaining apparently "good answers". My boots arrived and were way too big. And, even though I reordered another pair of boots before shipping the others back, I was charge $7.95 for the free shipping. With this being said, I have had much better service from other online companys that dont charge me for trusting the word of their sales persons. I would not purchase anything from Scuba.comn again unless this policy changes or I could find the product somewhere else and try it on first. Local retail stores are moving to online, due to cost, online stores have less overhead cost and really should not charge their customers. Buyer beware...free doesnt always mean free!

Rating: Great little boots
Reviewer: Laura Holzberg
I used to have the standard low to mid calf boot with zipper. I did not know there was an alternative. I recently had to replace a lost boot and found these. They are easy to get on. They have a snug fit without being tight. Easy on and off and light weight. Good for warm weather and soft shore or boat diving. If you have to hike through a rocky shoreline you might want a heartier sole.

Rating: Wow do they stretch, great product that will likely fit because of it.
Reviewer: Robert Alton  -  View all my reviews
Even if they are a touch too small they fit well due to their ability to stretch. They are as comfortable as a pair of socks and because they stretch and fit snuggly around your ankle, they seal out much more sand than a lot of other brands. I will buy these again!!

Rating: More like booties than boots
Reviewer: Allison C.
These are like thick black socks with a little bit of a rubber sole- I wouldnt call it a "medium sole" at all. Theres a not-attractive logo on them as well. Aside from that, they keep my feet warm, so I guess I cant complain.

  • paul:

RE: Ocean Quest 3mm Low Top Premium Super-Stretch Titanium Medium Sole Dive Boots I wear a mens 9 1/2 tennis shoe. Does that mean I should order a size mens 10 in these dive boots? yes? no? what then? thx, Paul

Aaron  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hi Paul, Since they don't make half size, yes we'd recommend that you go up a size. Then down a size and have them to tight.

  • boyd:

how do i order size for women

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Boyd, the men size is one size smaller than the women size. In the drop down menu of this boot men and women sizes.

  • Arlene:

I need these for just swimming in the ocean and walking on the bottom of the ocean floor. Will they keep the sand out and how quickly can they be shipped. Also I have bunions and was wondering what size should I get. I usually wear a 81/2. Thank you

Bill  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

High top might be better for keeping the sand out. Order according to your shoe size, if you are in between sizes go up to the next closest size. For current stock or availability contact info@scuba.com or 800-347-2822

  • Allen:

response to your response..... i hit the "order now" box in the email, it takes me to scuba.com. when i my size and "add to cart" it shows $23.95. not $19.95 as the email states.

Bill  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

When you add the size to the cart it will have a second discount sku number for $8

  • Allen:

An email I recieved lists this item on clearance for $15.95. When I pull it up on your website it lists for $23.95. Which is it?

Bill  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Newsletter specials need to order directly from the email to receive the special pricing.

  • Andres:

    If Im a size 10 1/2 what size should i get 10 or 11?

Bill  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Order according to your shoe size, if you are in between sizes go up to the next closest size. Loose is better than too tight.

  • Tammy:

I wear womens size 7 1/2 so what size would I order?

Bob  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

The manufacturers always recommend going up to the next nearest full size. In this case that would be the XS Mens 7/Women's 8

  • John:

I wear a size 12 shoe and will therefore order a size 12 (2XL) dive boot. What fin size should I move up to in order to accommodate the boot? (Looking at the Aqua Lung Hot Shot Adjustable strap fins.)

Elliott  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Aqua Lung Hotshot Adjustable Strap Fins Mens 11-13 (L/XL) is the size you would need. The foot pockets for all adjustable fins already take into account the use of a dive boot.

  • Jay:

Was stung by a stingray recently that I had stepped on. Would these boots protect from this painful occurrence?

Bob  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

    No.

  • Richard:

I just got this pair of dive boots in size 14+(4XL). I normaly wear a size 15 shoe so I thought they would fit snug...but when they arrived I was surprised they seem a little loose. These are my first pair so I dont know are they supposed to fit like this? Will they fit better with use? Should I get the size 13 (3XL)?

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Richard, from the tip of your big toe to the end of the boot. If you have more than 1.5 inch gap than yes I would go down one size. If your toes are curling in the boot than you would need to go up one size.

  • jake:

will i be able use the snorkel fins with these on?

Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Hello Jake, if you are wearing full foot fins no these would not work for those fins. If you are wearing adjustable strap fins yes these would fit into the foot pocket.

  • Karsten:

Ocean Quest Premium Super-Stretch Titanium Medium Sole Boots

The Ocean Quest Premium Super-Stretch Titanium Medium Sole Dive Boots. These boots are designed to offer the best possible fit using premium, 4 way-stretch, Titanium neoprene, double glued and blind stitched inside and out for superior warmth and comfort. The Titanium material within the neoprene reflects the heat trapped in the suit back at the user more efficiently and doesn’t allow as much warmth to escape allowing the user’s body to remain warm with less effort.

The 4 way-stretch neoprene also eliminates the need for a zipper. Unlike non-zip boots from the past which were near impossible to take off or put back on when they were wet, the Premium Super Stretch Neoprene expands or contracts up to 250% more than standard, non-stretch neoprene making these boots as easy to put on or remove as the zip style counterparts. The advantage is one less item to break or go bad on your piece of gear! With a durable traction sole, and tough rubber heel and toe caps or increased durability, these boots are designed to offer years of diving or snorkeling. Available in 5mm or 7mm in sizes men’s 6 through 14 and 3mm in men’s sizes 9 through 14.
