I did buy these for the tropical island I live on now. they are wonderful and do fit snug. You can feel rocks through the sole of the boot. I dont do long walks, so that part is not an isue for me. Again, Oneill made another GREAT product!

These boots are not for use in a very rocky beach entry area as the soles are a little thin, otherwise it is a very nice boot. They are very easy to put on and take off. I really liked the comfortable protection they offer on the top of the foot as you cannot feel the fins rubbing against the top of your foot due to the rubber added in the design.
The fin stop on the heel cap is a great feature to have in a boot. I found these boots to be perfect for using with my Tusa Liberator fins. They are very comfortable and great for warm water.
I followed the advice of the reviewers in regards to the size before ordering. I wear an 8 1/2 shoe size and ordered a 9/10 size which fit perfectly. I liked these boots so much that after having used them I purchased a pair as a gift for a friend who has since used them and liked them as well. One more thng, both of the pairs of boots I received were all black not blue on the top as the picture shows. If this is important to you call Scuba.Com to see if they have any with the blue ankle tops like the photo. I found Scuba.com staff to be very helpful.

I was very happy with the purchase of my ONeill 3mm boots, these boots were exceptionally comfortable and easy to put on and take off, the tab on the heal for fin strap retention was placed well for comfort of and alignment of the fin strap, all in all I am very happy with these boots and would highly recommend them to anyone in the market for new boots.

seems like a fine boot. perhaps a *bit* thin on the sole i could feel the rocks more than id hoped. i ordered 1 size larger than i typically wear in a shoe, and it fit perfect. my shoe size in this boot would have been too small.

Prior to ordering I read the reviews and most hinted to order a size up. I did and was glad I did as I am a 10.5, but ordered a 12, which fit great. I wore the boot on tour excursions as well as on the beach and Cozumel and the sole was sturdy enough to walk on hard coral with comfort without feeling rigid.

Great construction, fit & features. The fin-strap knob on the heel is great for making sure the strap doesnt come off. The fit is great and the sole is a good trade-off between durability, weight & comfort.

THE ONEILL 3MM TROPIC LOW TOP MED SOLE BOOT IS GREAT, FITS SNUG LOTS OF TRACTION ITS EVERYTHING YOU NEED IN A WARM WATER BOOT AND MORE THE SOLE RIDES UP THE FOOT WHERE YOU NEED IT.HAS PLENTY OF PROTECTION FROM THE ELEMENTS.TOP BOOT IN MY OPINION.BRANDON SNITH MISSOULA MT.

Great boots for warm weather boat diving. Soles have good grip when the boat rocks. The heel stop works great for the fin strap, and the rubber instep provides a little extra durability and cushioning (esp. when combined with Force Fins). As others have said, the sizes run small. Since I wear an 8.5 shoe, I thought the size 9 might be big enough, but ended up with the size 10 and they fit just right.

Very comfortable. Easy in and out. Feels like going barefoot. Of course, had to purchase smaller EZ Spring Straps since old boots were 3mm with heavier soles and fit just right in my Apollo fins & EZ Spring straps.

these booties are great!! the soles are very aggressive so they dont slip but they are flexible so they are super-comfortable. there is a "bump" on the heel that keeps your fin strap securely on your heela great design. the rubber comes over the top of the foot so the fin pocket doesnt rub the top of the boot and also keeps you from getting a blister through the neopreneanother great design. i found they run a little smalli wear a size 10 shoe, but the size 11 boot fits me better.
