Rating: Effective size is smaller than indicated

InnovativeDry Bag 5´´ x 7´´
I purchased two of these bags, (better called envelopes) one each for my passport and wallet for safe keeping during open boat trips. They are well made and the closure is the familiar role down that has worked well for me in the past. They would have been perfect except that their effective size is two inches shorter in each dimension, 3” x 5”, than stated and neither a passport or wallet would fit. The reason is that two grommet holes have been introduced at the top of the bag just under the closure to accommodate a light carrying cord. The grommets block access to the full bag volume. Such grommets are usually placed in the bottom corners of this type of bag. It is a shame as the next size up is way larger than needed for this application.

Rating: Does the job!

I bought this bag to keep my camera dry while on spelunking/snorkeling excursions while on vacation in Belize. It wound up coming in handy for much more than just our beloved camera. Since we arrived smack-dab in the middle of the rainy season, we found ourselves stuffing everything possible into this bag whilst on ruin excursions, jungle hikes, etc where the weather could turn in an instant - and you could find yourself without shelter in a downpour. This bag saved our cash, passports, electronics, etc from getting destroyed in rainforest conditions. This bag also kept its contents bone-dry after being completely submerged in rushing river water for over a half hour! I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for a durable, inexpensive dry bag.

Rating: Great for Kayakers!
Reviewer: Quinn E. Weller, Thursday, December 28, 2006
I gave this to my brother for Christmas because I thought it would be useful to him on kayak expeditions. He was very excited about it since, he said, he often has trouble keeping his maps dry. Not just for scuba divers!

This is a great product! I got several of these for my kids log books and dive tables and found a bunch of other uses for them while on a recent cruise. The bags are simple, easy to access, air tight and water proof. It was great for stuffing my mini-digital camera, wallet, cruise ship ID, etc. while on dive excursions.

Rating: Well designed bag

this bag is well built, durable, and possesses comportable shoulder straps that are fantastic on the beach or the beat this is not an airline travel bag. the inner bag definitely keeps everything dry (perfect for a towel, shirt, wallet and keys). one caveat: this bag is intended for only one persons gear. depending on the volume of your gear, you may have to carry your fins.

Rating: Handy to keep your money dry

Not a bad product - would buy again and it is better than the ziploc bag I was using. Wish they would make the opening more secure and wider/easier to retrieve money, cards, key etc...

Rating: the drybag is okay
Reviewer: Brad Morrison, Tuesday, September 19, 2006
Its pretty simple, and works.
Im concerned about the durability of the product though, as one of the plastic tabs that you roll over, at the topt, to make the dry "seal" has already fallen off. Its still working, but....not sure how long it will last.
I do like the simplicity of the bag!

Rating: Surviving Lots of Mud

Although it wasnt an actual scuba vacation, the scuba "innovative" dry bag performed beautifully. We took the bag down the San Juan River in a canoe for several days. Everything was very dry although the outside of the bag was covered in red/brown clay from the river as we crashed through the rapids. Thank you, an excellent product. Your company/products have already been recommended to others.
Thank you!
LVB
