Rating: Bit of a challenge
Reviewer: Alison Jensen, Saturday, September 05, 2009 - View all my reviews
The suit is easy enough to get on, though I usually encounter only mild difficulty with the hood (getting it high enough on my shoulders to go over my head). Getting the suit off is another story: the zipper is very stiff, even when waxed, and led to my TKO on the shoreline when my boyfriends balled up hand slipped off the zipper and cracked me, full brute force, in the face (true story). The hood is also a bit difficult to get off and takes an extra person and a bit of a struggle to get up over my face without removing my chin and nose and sacrificing only a few hairs. Performance in the water is good, though a fair amount of water leaks in around the hood due to (I think) my long hair. If I move around too much, such as minor twisting movements within the suit, I feel the cold Puget Sound rush in the hood and down my back...brrr. Ive only used it twice now and it was definitely better the second time in warmth and leakiness, so I think itll get better but Im not quite sold on it yet compared to the ScubaPro semi-dry, which is a local favorite. I tend to feel choked and axious with bulk around my neck, so Im not quite sure the attached hood suit was an idea choice for me due to the increased effort with removal. Fit is true-to-size, perhaps even a slight bit on the big side. The merino wool is comfortable and the features of the suit like knee pads, back pads, and BC grips are nice additions when compared to other suits.

Rating: very warm! tight zipper
Reviewer: Robert Costescu, Tuesday, September 01, 2009 - View all my reviews
overall a great wetsuit: fairly easy to put on and compared to a two-piece, you can a couple of pounds of lead. also very warm, used it at catalina for a 3 dive trip and even with water of 52f at the bottom, stayed reasonably warm the whole time. main downside id say is the zipper is extremely tight and impossible to close by yourself, hopefully itll loosen up a bit overtime.

Rating: Great Wetsuit
Reviewer: Bobby Rollins, Saturday, July 11, 2009
I purchased this for my wife who HATES diving in cold water. We just returned from 5 days of diving in Catalina and she loved the wetsuit. The water temp ran from 54-59 degrees over the 5 days. She never once complained of being cold. She likes the way the wetsuit fits and performs.

Rating: Great suit, but it has its challenges
Reviewer: MeLisa Platte, Monday, July 20, 2009 - View all my reviews
The suit is extremely well made and warm, however, I cannot get in and out of it myself! Luckily, I have great, and strong, dive buddy. I had to get a dive skin so that it would be easier to get on. the Merino wool is warm, but doesnt slide across skin so well. The hood is so tight that I cannot lift if over my head by myself. After a couple of dives, it has loosened up. I am sure after a couple more I will be able to get in and out of it on my own. Overall, a great suit!

Rating: Excellent Semi Dry
Reviewer: Randy B., Tuesday, January 20, 2009 - View all my reviews
the construction and placement of stitching is excellent however, just like many of the other reviews the sizing runs smaller than normal!
if this is a large it must be for asians or japanese customers.
i had to return it as it was to small.

Rating: Good
Reviewer: jonathan manrique, Thursday, April 10, 2008
Very warm suit. Hard to get in but after in is very good.
The zipper is very stiff but watertight. I just dove in the st-laurence river last weekend and the water was 32 F and I stay warm for 45 min.
Nice purchase

Rating: Best suit ever made
Reviewer: Timothy J., Monday, April 09, 2007 - View all my reviews
This is the best suit ever made! Pinnacle made everything right on this suit from the neck, wrist, and anckle seals to the merino wool lining. I dive in the freezing waters of Washington State and the two piece wetsuit I used was sufficient but after diving in pinnacles semi-dry, I was not only warmer consistently throughout my dive but instead of the fourteen mms of suit I previously had to wear, this suit did it with only eight. The dry zipper was a little stiff to operate but its well worth it. I felt no water movement at any time or at any depth in this suit. Not at the zipper, not at the hood, not even at the wrists and anckles. Im going to say it again, "this is the best suit ever made and I highly recomend it to anyone." And its only a fraction of the cost of a dry suit.

Rating: too small
Reviewer: Katherine D., Sunday, April 19, 2009
This looks like a beautiful suit & is very warm - but regretfully size small was way too tight in the hips and a little too tall. Im 54" and 115 lbs.

The suit itself was very nice, however the zipper in the front dug into my skin and I had to return the suit.
