What size would fit a person whose normal wetsuit size is 4?

The waist and chest are the most important measurements for the fit with a wetsuit. Height usually will work even if it is one to two inches short or tall. Weight will depend on the divers body build and is the last measurement to consider.

Neoprene is a type of foam rubber that was developed in the 1930s by scientists at DuPont. It is used in virtually all wetsuits and is generally laminated on either side with various materials to produce varying degrees of stretch. BARE suits generally use four different types of laminates that produce four different degrees of stretch. (1) Full-Stretch or 4-way stretch, used in our ELASTEK suits, (2) Progressive-Stretch, used in our Velocity series suits, (3) Powerstretch, used in our Ignite series suits and (4) Standard stretch used in our Sport s series suits.
What do I need to do before the dive?
When donning your wetsuit be careful not to snag the inner skin materials of the suit with fingernails, rings, bracelets etc as this can affect the sealing performance of your suit.
What do I need to do after the dive?
Prior to removing your wetsuit be sure to unzip all the zippers completely. Once all the zippers have been unzipped, make your way out of the wetsuit one section at a time taking care not to damage the suit by excessive pulling or snagging with fingernails, rings, bracelets etc.
How should I store my wetsuit?
Salt water and chlorine can reduce the life of your wetsuit by drying out the neoprene. To keep your BARE wetsuit looking good and maintain its health, after the dive you should let your wetsuit soak in warm freshwater for 30 min. After soaking, rinse your wetsuit and hang on a wetsuit hanger (a thin hanger will stretch the suit). Be sure to pull the back zipper down all the way.
Note: Avoid placing your wetsuit on hot surfaces and storing in the trunk of your car for extended periods of time.
What should I do about cuts or punctures on my wetsuits?
Sometimes, contact with rocks underwater is unavoidable. Because of this, it is not uncommon to get rips and tears in your wetsuit. If you rip or tear your wetsuit you can usually repair it using neoprene glue by filling in the hole or tear. Liquid Aquaseal is a common neoprene glue that can be used for the repair and can be found at one of our local retailers. Follow the instructions on the packaging.
