I have used the Pinnacle 7mm Cruiser wetsuit in the Monterey Bay, and it kept me warm. I appreciate having the option of the King sizes, since I was having difficulty finding a suit to fit.

Questions and Answers for Pinnacle 7mm Cruiser Titanium Mens Wetsuit:

  • Bruce:

    I am 6 4", about 190, 10%BMI. Should I get an XL, or L King1? Thanks.

    Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at

Hello Bruce, when you are sizing a wetsuit the two most important measurements are going to be your chest/bust and waist. Height is a secondary measurements and weight is the very last measurements.

  • Anton:

I currently own a 7MM Cruiser and it has been a good suit but its about time for another one. What are the differences between the Cruiser, the Tempo XT and the Tempo? I dive about 20 times a year in the Monterey / Carmel area. I also do 10 or 12 kayak dives a year so which suit would have more stretchability in the shoulders for paddling? Thanks!

    Arthur  (Certified Scuba Instructor at

Hello, the tempo is going to have more stretch and have the merino lining. The XT only has different designs.

  • Bruce:

If waist and chest are the determining factors, 32 waist, 46 chest. I gave height because I have had trouble getting the proper fit in clothing, except Talls. My inseam is 34", and sleeve is 35". That is why I am interested in the sizing differences between regular, King1, and King2.

    Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at

Hello Bruce, King 1: up 320lbs weight up to 6'.0" height up to 48" waist up to 54" Chest King 2: up to 270lbs weight up to 6'.2" height up to 44" waist up to 48" chest

  • Bruce:

How then does a regular XL or Lg fit?

    Bill  (Certified Scuba Instructor at

The waist and chest are the most important measurements for the fit with a wetsuit. Height usually will work even if it is one to two inches short or tall. Weight will depend on the divers body build and is the last measurement to consider. As long as the item is not used in the water you have up to 60 days to refund or exchange it.

  • Matt:

I just received a medium sized wetsuit and I cant zip it closed. Its just a little too tight. Should I return it in exchange for a medium-large?

    Bill  (Certified Scuba Instructor at

Exchange it for one size up.

  • Ken:

Sirs, Will be diving in 45 degree Seattle - Puget Sound waters. Just starting - want it to be a pleasurable experience and body temp will be the main factor I believe. 20 foot visibility not excellent but OK. 511" / OK weight of 205 - 210. - 7mm obviously the best? - What specifically does the Titanium relate to? I like the 10mm spine warmer idea, specs sound good & well thought out and the suit looks great. - XLL or XL size? Going to the Red Sea this year. Use the same suit there and just unzip a little bit? Thanks, Ken Connelly

    Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at

Hello Ken, the titanium is a lining on the inside of the suit to help reflect the heat back to your body. The size I would suggest to you going by your measurements would be the size Xlarge short.

  • jamie:

i need help with fitting, im skinny and rather short. bust: 36.2 waist: 33.4 weight: 136.6 height: 5.51 my old suit is xs... but according to the charts i should be something completly different.

    Darrick  (Certified Scuba Instructor at

Hello Jamie, when you are sizing a wetsuit or dive skin. The two most important measurements are going to be your chest/bust and waist. Height is a secondary measurement and weight is the last measurement you take into account. Going by the manufacture size chart you would be a size medium.

  • Julio:

Hello, Is the pinnacle cruiser a back zip? Thanks, Julio

  • Mike:

Hello, Looking at the Pinnacle 7mm cruiser titanium. Just wondering what size ? I think I need an XL short by size chart recommendations. I am 510 230 lbs 45-46 inch chest and 38 inch waist. I have about a 31" inch inseam. Is this the correct size ?

    Arthur  (Certified Scuba Instructor at

Hello, I would go with a XL short

  • David:

I am 6 ft. 1 in. and 300 lbs. stocky build, which makes it difficult for me to chose a wetsuit for diving in Alaska in cold water. I need a wetsuit for cold conditions. What size should I buy and which wetsuit would best fit my needs. Thanks.

    Aaron  (Certified Scuba Instructor at

Hi David, Important measurements will always be your waist and chest/bust measurements. The suit needs to fit your torso correctly in order to do its job properly. Then height and weight. Follow the sizing chart and we''''ll be all set.

are the seams sealed on the pinnacle cruisers?

The CRUISER provides a means to enjoy many of the features and benefits of Pinnacle’s higher end suits while still maintaining a budget. The CRUISER incorporates many design aspects that are superior to those found in other suits costing more than twice the price.
Available in 3mm, 5mm and 7mm.

Cruiser suit is available in 3mm, 5mm and 7mm options
• 3mm/5mm/7mm titanium lined neoprene throughout the suit for
even greater warmth than before. Higher stretch neoprene in the
extremities allows for greater flexibility, and 5mm wrist and
ankle seals allow for easy donning.
• Constructed in highly flexible 3mm/5mm/7mm neoprene for
maximum warmth and flexibility
• Advanced stretch neoprene is elastic enough to make donning
simple, yet resists compression enough to maintain warmth
• Though a budget suit, the Cruiser is built better and incorporates
more features than most high-end suits
• Molded rubber shoulder pads protect diver and suit as well as
help to hold BC in place
• Smoothskin neck, ankle, wrist, and spine seals lock cold water
out and seal body-heated water inside the suit
• All seams glued and blind stitched
• 7mm & 5mm have ankle zippers (3mm Cruiser suit does not)

he key step to making any wetsuit perform to its ultimate potential is reducing water transfer. This process, whereby water from the diving environment enters and exits the wetsuit, allows cold water to enter the suit and lets bodywarmed water exit; thus chilling the diver, even in tropical waters. PINNACLE nearly eliminates water transfer by creating better barriers to keep cold water out, making more form-fitting products that prevent internal water movement, employing the renowned Merino™ lining system to enable body heat to warm internal water, and then making it extremely difficult for that warm water to escape.

In order to prevent water entry and egress, PINNACLE employs the latest technology in sealing systems. Features like honeycomb o-ring wrist seals, Orcaskin™ forearm gussets, smoothskin chimney seals in the ankles, roll-neck collars with smoothskin sealing surfaces, smoothskin-to-smoothskin sealing surfaces on 10mm spine pads, and the innovative Pinnacle Defense System (P.D.S.) combine in PINNACLE suits to create a significantly better water barrier than in other brands. These sealing systems work as checkpoints, neither allowing water in the suit nor out.
