Got the wrong size wetsuit & Scuba.com totally honored their return/exchange policy. They also credited me a discount for a sale item. Thanks scuba.com for being an honest, reliable company. I will definitly shop here again.

Rating: XS Scuba 7mm Wetsuit

I have used this suit four times already and I really like it. The water temp was around 50 degrees for all four dives and I never felt cold. It is easy to get into and I like the way you step into the top and zipper up across the body. (Make sure you start the zipper before pulling on) If I had to find a fault it would be the location of the farmer john straps. They are located directly on top of your shoulders, it would be easier if they were further down on your chest. This is definitely a suit I would buy again!

Rating: Warm and comfortable
Reviewer: Paul D.
Bought recently for winter diving in NC. Fit very good for a life long hard to fit user. I almost bought custom, but the fit guide seemed more close than any other I had seen or tried on. Was a bit loose around the waist with only the top but better with the john on underneath (how often will I use a 7mm w/o the john??. Have used only once thus far in 48 degree quarry. Very comfy and warm. Only once felt water enter (felt at the back waist, hmm)but warmed almost instantly. Overall after a single use, good fit and warm.

Rating: Very nice suit
Reviewer: Chris Rider
I was looking for a 7mm suit, but am tall & thin, so so had trouble finding a good fit - scuba.com staff very helpful in pointing me towards this model. This suit fits great and kept me nice and toasty on a recent dive in 50 degree water.

Rating: 3XL
Reviewer: Lowell Noeske  -  View all my reviews
The material in this suit and construction, knee pads spine pad are first quality. The double velcroe latch on the john is good quality. This suit is sized small - I ordered a 3XL and have a 2XL that is sized just as large. The zipper on the jacket that goes down the left leg has a left hand feed so you need to start the zipper with you left hand. I found this to be akward. The velcro closers are on top the shoulder - not in front of the shoulder like all my previous suits making retrieving the back strap when entering the suit almost impossible.

Got great advice from the pros at Scuba.com and went with the size they recommended. (I would have chosen the size smaller). It fit like a glove. cant wait to use it as soon as the Ice melts in Michigan. It feels great and goes on easy.

Since this is a Christmas gift, I cnat really tell you how it is received. I compared it side by side with the other wetesuit and it looks similar. The one thing that Im not really happy about is that if this needs to be returned after Christmas, I will only be reimbursed 75%, since I ordered it early. I did consider sending it back and reordering so I could stay in the 30 days, but am taking a chance. Service was good. Thanks.

Rating: Suits me fine
Reviewer: Kenneth Ries  -  View all my reviews
I visited 7 local dive shops and tried on suits from as many vendors before ordering the XS Scuba 7mm Farmer Johns from Scuba.com. Many of the suites I tried on fit poorly, often too tight in the chest or two loose in the arms. I contacted Scuba.com purchased the XS Scuba suit without trying it on. According to the sizing chart, I was right in the middle of the XL size range. My sales consultant let me know I could return the suit if it did not fit. The fit was perfect. For a sub $200 price, the suite allows for an amazing freedom of movement. The pyrostreach panels are placed well and help the suit move. The suit is well made and should last for several years. I have used this suite on several dives, including the wreck of the Madeira and the Hesper in Lake Superior and several trips below the thermocline in Minnesota lakes where water temperatures often approach 40 degrees. This suit, along with the corresponding hood, gloves, and boots, has kept me comfortable. Im looking at picking up the XS Scuba 2mm shorty for warm water.

  • jennifer:

I am trying to get a suit for my husband. We live in an area that has 40-55 degree water with occasional warm trips to maui and mexico. IS this suit used for both? I wish there was a picture of each separate piece. Is the one piece a full suit without sleeves and then a "sweater" over that? From the reviews it doesnt seem like that lets that much water in. Is that correct? He is 6 foot 230lbs with broad shoulders. Would he be a 2x?

Bill  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

You can use the top or bottom of a 2 piece suit for warmer water. The waist and chest are the most important measurements for the fit with a wetsuit. Height usually will work even if it is one to two inches short or tall. Weight will depend on the divers body build and is the last measurement to consider.

  • marc:

do you have a tall chart. dI have purchased suits in the past using a tall chart(long legs long arms)

Bill  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

Short and tall sizing, if available will be listed on the drop-down when selecting the suit. Some size charts show every size for every suit but are not always made.

  • Tom:

Hi: How does the sizing chart compare to real life. I am unfortunaily built like a bull at 61" My chest runs 50 to 52. I hate to order the 6xl and not have it fit. Thanks, Tom

Bob  (Certified Scuba Instructor at Scuba.com):

The XS Scuba wetsuits are one of the ones that stays pretty true to it''s sizing charts. Your height and chest fall into the potential for 2 sizes. What is your waist size as well? Keep in mind the Waist and Chest sizing are the 2 most important measurements. Height is a secondary measurement and weight is only good for tipping the scales between two sizes if you are borderline on the chart.
