already had a couple of these for my own use(captain on a river boat, miss. river), great light for use in wheelhouse, and general safety also use for spare on low light dives at home. bought for gifts for my deck and engine room crew members, a great safety item because of its portability, and reliability! they can attach to life vest, or just carry in pocket. i keep one on me at all times onboard, and when camping or boating at home. capt. dave

This light is small and easy to carry, fits in any pocket. It does not provide much illumination under water. Its best use may be as a signaling device in low visibility or night diving. Its small enough that Ill leave it in my BC, but if you know yourll need/want a light, bring something bigger.

I most often use this light as a back up and almost always have it on during a dive. One of my first times using, onother diver got separated from our group and was able to find is way back to us by seeing my light. Wow, paid off the first time out. Very practical and handy.

Handy little light that fits nicely in a BC pocket. Good for highlighting in shallower dives &/or clearer water conditions, and as a spare (why I bought it). I prefer something a little more powerful for night dives or low light days, deep dives, or murky water conditions.

The light makes a great emergency/secondary light. Its not going to fit the bill as a primary night dive light. But as advertised it works fine, doesnt leak, stays bright for a long time, stows away in a pocket or clips on to BC. Cant beat the price.

This is the only product from scuba.com that I havent really liked. While I understand that for the price I cant expect much, it really was not very bright at all. Even when I would shine it within a few inches of something, I couldnt see any difference.

This small compact light is great for a back-up and utility light. The LED lights are bright for the size of the light. Takes 4 AAA batteries. I keep one in every car. Twist on-off prevents accidential battery loss. Very good value.

Got this as a free gift when buying a C8 eLED. Light is very basic turns on/off by tightening/loosening the bezel.
Battery life is good, light is not very bright. I carry it as a back-up to my back-up or to loan to other divers.

I live in Hawaii and frequently begin dives before the sun rises. It is lightweight, almost non-existent (add zero net gain to encumberances) and packs amazing illumination. I think I would even utilize it as a primary with a second as a backup. This little mini DELIVERS!

Well with this littly light (wit a BIG power) the answer is YES YOU CAN! Great light fits in your pocket or on your BC. How ever the best part of it is the price!!!!!!! Igot three one for BC, one for my rist and one just in case. Think about it, youre on a night dive and your budy fogot his light or just burned out. You instantly become not only a dive budy, but a hero to! YOU saved the dive! (at least his dive) Oh and lets not forget the safty issues. This allowed you to see him also.

This little guy came free with a dive light I purchased. It is small, but packs a punch. Looking at its size, its easy to write it off for functionality. But it has actually come in handy looking underwater. I would hate to rely on it in a night situation, but it does allow a couple of feet of visibility, and that allows signaling, gauge monitoring, and a safe ascent. It fits in even the tiniest of pockets. The only one negative is that it did not come with batteries. I feel that this doesnt matter though, as the light was a free addition. I did not give it five stars because the size of the thing makes it almost a novelty item. Its good enough quality, I think... well see how long this little guy can hold up.

I received this light free when i bought a UK C8 light. This light is small yet surprisingly powerful enough to use during the day. I have it attached to my BC to use it when I want to check out dark crevices. its easy to use, inexpensive, surprisingly durable, and a great backup light.

I use underwater lights every day, mounted on a headband. I have yet to fine one that keeps the water out for more than a few days work, and I am talking low to high priced lights. This very inexpensive light works great. Plenty of light and the unique way it is activated, keeps the o-ring fresh and does not leak after turning on and off repeatedly. Very happy with this little light.

An excellent backup for your main light. And its small enough to fit in any BCD pocket! Hard plastic resists breaks or cracks from abuse. And the twist tight on bezel is great to prevent accidental flooding.

The light came free when I bought my primary light. Its a little small and not too powerful and I wouldnt make it my main light source. But what it does do, it does well. Good for a backup or to bring down to see the true color of the coral.

This mini-light is really useful. It can fit into a pocket or hang almost anywhere. The mini-light emits sufficient light to check an object or the area without handling the larger light and using up its valuable battery life. The mini-light accomplishes its purpose. Using the lanyard assures that the small light doesnt go tumbling into the depths. A great item to have.

This is a great little 4 1/2 inch LED flashlight that runs ons four alkaline triple AAA batteries. It will fit in even the smallest of hands and can be used both above and below the water up to 30 meters. It makes a great backup light for night diving and is easy to carry on day trips for peeking into those dark recesses in coral,

I bought five of these lights with the "$7.00 off Mini U Beam offer" from scuba.com thinking I had a bargain. That made the price $5.99. I feel I was kind of ripped off. I tried unsuccessfully to give away two of them, but no one wound take them.
They do work. Instead of tightening the bezel to make the come on, you keep the bezel tightened down and loosen the bezel to make the light come on. Yes the light came on. It did put out light. It did not seem too bad. It just had a really cheap feeling to it. The light is only rated for 100 feet though.
They would be fine as a safety light in your car or truck.
They would work as a back up light, but it would not be your first choice.
I would pass.

Not a bad light and certainly ok for the price but I tried it on a recent dive and at 100 feet during a daytime dive in San Diego it didnt provide much light. Ive had numerous small lights that provide more illumination. Certainly ok as a backup nite light and small enough for anywhere non diving use. I have one in my car.
