Just had a chance to dive with this product and loved it.Small easy to handle but gave me great light looking in coral creviss.Poor visiablilty it worked great and for its size clip easily on my BCD. Bang for your buck worth the addition to my diving equipment

Brightest Light Ive Ever Owned

Havent used in underwater yet, but judging by the way it work "dry," it should be awesome. Yes, the switch is a little clumsy, but I figure Ill turn it on before I dive and leave it on the entire time Im submerged. The claimed battery life is so good that I a one-tank dive wont put much of a dent in a set of batteries.
Why do people still buy incandescent/halogen/xenon? Beats me.
Would probably give it five stars if I had actually dived with it.

Havent gone on vacation yet but this light is very bright and well built. As some have mentioned the switch is a little tricky but not overly burdensome. Looking forward to using it in a little more than a month.

Excellent light...used it on a deep dive 114f on the St. Lawrence Seaway...Very bright and penetrating light. Only small issue is the on/low/bright switch, its a little trick to move it, but once you get use to it - no issues.

Ive sued the larger light but always found it bulky. This is a perfect size. Just back doing 7 night dives in Roatan and this light was great... the brightest of all the torches. The beam is a bit diffuse, guessing a 12-15 degree beam... a little tighter would be perfect.

i picked up a couple of princeton tec miniwave eleds for my wife and i to take on a trip to cozumel last month. we did two night dives on our trip. one from the shore and the second from a boat. i also used the light on the interior portions of a wreck dive. the lights worked great.
the leds provided plenty of light. most of the time we kept the lights on low power to conserve battery life and it was more than adequate for our needs. the high setting was very bright and it easily iliuminated a barracuda 50 ft. away in the clear water off of cozumel. the blue-white light provided very good color contrast. a couple of the other divers had older c8 lights that had a much dimmer, yellow light (i think they were xenon). both said they were going to swap their lights for the leds.
i chose the c4 lights due to the smaller size and less weight than the c8s. i dont think either light has had more than 4 hours of burn time total, but i we did not notice any off in lumens at the end of our trip. i had read that the uk dive lights have a better power conservation chip, but i was very happy with the power profile on the princeton tec lights. and they were quite a bit cheaper than the uks. we are strictly recreational divers who go on a couple of dive trips a year, so the princeton tec c4s were more than adequate for our needs. my wife and i have carried princeton tec backup lights on all our dives for years and havent had any issues.
the only problem i could see is that the on-off switch was a little difficult to operate with gloves (i used gloves only on the wreck dive). it was hard to stop at the central low power setting, but i managed.
bottom line - a good light for the price. great bang for the buck for a casual diver who goes on half a dozen or so night dives a year. i like the eled lights. the brightness and color were awesome. ask me in 2-3 years about long term use and battery life. i havent used them long enough as yet to even replace the batteries.
also, scuba.com was great. i waited until the last minute to order, as usual. i ordered on thursday afternoon, the lights shipped that night and were at my house on tuesday. i was able to track the shipment all weekend to make sure i got them in time. scuba.com have always been great. usual disclaimers, i am not in anyway affiliated with scuba.com or princeton tec. just a satistied customer.

The new Miniwave LED has 4 C batteries and produces more light than the older 8C battery Princeton Tec Shockwave LED light that I have used trouble free for years. The Miniwave is lighter, brighter and i like the locking trigger so I dont use up the batteries during transport.

When my light arrived in the mail I was pleased to see that this is a serious light for serious diving. The option of two different settings is really helpful for those night dives. The switch can be a little tough to move with gloves but that didnt bother me too much.

Very good power bright compact light. Need little time getting use to switch between low & high beams. Giving this a four star only because SCUBA.COM didnt have the color I was wanting and didnt have time to wait for it to be restocked.

Good price for the size to brightness ratio. Lots of lumens for a small package. Power switch is hard to move from off to on and from the low power setting to the high power setting.

Excellent primary dive light. Just as bright but smaller and lighter than other primary lights since it uses only 4 C batteries. Very effective on night and cavern dives. High and low power settings useful but generally the low setting is sufficient and saves battery life.

I bought this light initially because the price was affordable. What I didnt realize is how well it actually worked. It was my first night dive and the instructor was using a light cannon. I was happily surprised at how comparable my light was to his as far as brightness. The main difference that I noticed was that his light had a stronger pinpointed area. However my light covered a wider radius. I am very happy with my light in both the use, price and size. I would recommend it to anyone who is on the fence as I was between these two flash light.

Ive tried many dive lights and this one is the best yet - compact yet intense illumination via 3 LEDs. Out-distances conventional lights by 75%. Uses 4 C batteries that last forever.

We used the light for both wreck and night diving. It was superb. Our guides even made comments about the quality of light projected, which was extremely bright and white. This is a good product.
