Rating: Bio Pro Adjustable Strap Dive Fins Yellow Mens 11-13/Womens 12-14 w/ Steel Spring Strap (LG)
Reviewer: Geraldine C.
First time using the spring straps, and once they were stretched over my rock boots a few times, they were easy to put on. This is my second pair of biofins and I would not dive with out them. My knees no longer ache afterward, my calves no longer cramp up, and more often than not, I am way ahead of my dive buddies during a kick out!

Reviewer: Terry J.  -  View all my reviews
All the other reviews about these fins are true, they work great. Although, I had to return a pair because I got a size too small. Go a size lager than your actual shoe size to account for the boots youll wear with them. I also found no need for the spring strap. Standard straps worked just fine.

Rating: Great Fins
Reviewer: Brett H.
The Apollo Bio-fins have worked out great for me. They are the right balance between rigid design and flexability. You get great thrust with minimal work. I occassionally have to take a break so I dont get out ahead of my dive buddy. Ive gotten leg cramps with some other fins that Ive tried but these have been great. When I got my drysuit and needed a bigger pair of fins for the boots, I bought another pair of Bio-fins.

Rating: excellent fins if you try em, youre gonna buy em!
Reviewer: Jeremiah H.
ive been a die-hard u.s. divers rocket fin diver since 1975. i didnt the claims of this "technological innovation" by apollo. but, i had the opportunity to try them out a couple of years ago, and i was very impressed with them. probably the hardest thing to get over, when you first use these fins, is how effortless they seem. theres so much less effort involved in the kick stroke, that you feel like you must not be doing any good, with respect to motion. but, when you see how fast youre going, youre shocked. i went out and bought a pair immediately (this purchase was a gift for a friend ive had mine for several years). i was getting ready for a dive on a dive boat, not long ago, when the divemaster leaned over and asked me to "hold back a bit" on the dive. he said, "youre the only one in the group with those fins, and if you dont throttle back a bit on your kick, the rest of the group wont be able to keep up with you". theres your endorsment, right there! one other comment several of the dive boats ive been on require that you take your fins off at the bottom of the ladder (or platform) and slide them over your arms so that you have your hands free, and can hold your fins at the same time. you cannot do this with "spring straps", so for my needs, the adjustable straps are preferable.

Rating: Best Fins - On Land and in the Water Too
Reviewer: Klery Fox
ive tried all the major, "top" fins these are the best on the boat and in the water. theyre shorter and more malleable than other fins - many a fin are harder and not very flexible. additionally, they are made using softer rubber which grips a wet boat deck or dock better. these are all good attributes to have in a fin, and ive seen no others that compare in this way. in the water they are also my favorite fin. you will experience the least amount of drag ever in a head-on current and they are fast and smooth in the water. they may not get up and run right away like some others do, but that also makes them very controlable in tight spaces when you just need a slighter movement. they get up and run very closely to the other, "top" fins by the way. i highly recommend upgrading to the spring steel slap. its comfortable and is assembled into the fin with good manufacturing quality ive not seen elswhere.

After reviewing many, i purchased these for my trip to Fiji in a year. Took them to Hawaii for testing and enjoyed swimming circles around the other divers, using less air and not having tired legs after diving. Despite others comments, i did not have any difficulty with maneuverability while taking pix or looking in small openings.

Rating: Amazing Fins
Reviewer: Gian S.
I bought these fins as a gift for my fathers 60th birthday. Hes an avid snorkeler and absolutely loves them. He and I were snorkeling together in the Caribbean and I had trouble keeping up with him with normal fins and Im only 26 years old! After seeing how quick he was I tried them and was amazed at the efficiency and speed you move at, and how little effort it took to cruise through the water. The next pair of fins I buy for myself will be Apollo Bio-Pros. Just an amazing product.

Reviewer: Karen Adair  -  View all my reviews
My first fins, sadly enough, were NOT Apollo Bio Fins. However, since Ive worn them, I will wear nothing else. These fins are wonderful and my entire family of 5 wears them diving! Have compared to many others on the market, and even bought many others, but the black adjustable strap Apollo bio pro fins are still my favorite!!! You can never go wrong with these fins and Ive been diving for YEARS.

Reviewer: Dennis H.
I purchase these after having cramp problems with some standard fins. Apollo has performed past any of my expectations, reduce cramping to zero and reduce fatigue on long under water times to almost zero. My wife tired them in the pool and we order Apollo’s for her also. We bought ours with spring straps and love them.

Rating: I Love Them
Reviewer: Sue G.
These are awesome fins. They are extremely secure yet you really dont feel like you have anything on. Very comfortable. They are very powerful - I normally dont swim very fast so a small movement is all I need under sightseeing conditions. When I need to catch up or fight a current very little effort is required. I will be curious to see how I like them for photography.

While not magic the biofins are very comfortable and once one gets used to the short stroke kick quite fast. They arent as powerful when using a dolphin kick as my old fins (useful for getting back into a zodiac) were but I could still power up over the side.

Rating: Amazing Fins
Reviewer: Justin D.  -  View all my reviews
These fins are great best ive ever used. They allow you to cut through the water with ease. They limit leg strain, and fatigue alot heres and example. Im a new dive master trainee, and i went out with my first open water class with my instructor friend, and i was chasing students down for four dives ranging from 20 mins to 40 mins, and at the end of the weekend i had no tightness, or soreness in my legs. Which is a miracle with all the times i had to go all out to catch up with a stray student. So if your looking for a new set up fins i would highly suggest these. Also if you dont mind the extra $50 add the spring straps. I have them on mine, and i can get the fins on, and off in under ten seconds easily.

Shop around all you want, then BUY these fins. No leg strain after hours of continuous use. You do kick a little differently while snorkeling, but underwater the excelleration and continued speed is unbelievable. I really like the spring strap (I have one bad wrist) and these are truly a snap ~ easy on/easy off! I LOVE MY FINS. Martha Dee

Rating: Apollo Split Fins
Reviewer: R. B.
I was skeptical at first, but these fins have proved to be worth the hype. They are easy to kick, dont stir up the bottom as much, and helped me conserve air. Be advised, however, that theyre heavy because theyre rubber. They also require a different kick than the standard hip-kick. All in all, theyre worth the money. I got power, air conservation, and because these are yellow, I can be seen by my buddy better. Good investment.

Rating: The ultimate fin for beginner & expert alike!
Reviewer: Ron Cooley  -  View all my reviews
Apollo Bio Pro Adjustable Strap Fins are the ultimate fin for beginner divers because they are easier on your legs than any other fin, and they are the ultimate for the seasoned diver because they have the best performance of any fin ever produced. Their efficience will save you air (important for air-hogs like me) and it will move you faster through the water when moving is important — like when you need to overcome a strong current. They will fool you though, because they are easier on your legs it APPEARS they arent doing much — unless you look over at other divers who cant keep up! Ive had several other sets of fins & tried everything on the market. There is nothing else comparable. Find the money & buy a pair!

Rating: Excellent fins.
Reviewer: Frederick K.  -  View all my reviews
Pros: Fast...very fast...I have to keep stopping to wait for my buddies to catch up 3 lbs and negatively bouyant. I am now able to carry 3 less pounds on my belt. No need for ankle weights, easier surface swims as the fins stay below the water. The yellow fins are extremely visible even in murky water, great if you are leading a group. THE SPRING STRAPS ARE GREAT. It is much cheaper and easier to get the straps preinstalled than to buy them later and install them yourself. The installation involves measuring, drilling, and cutting....some things I dont want to do to my very expensive fins. Cons weight if you are flying THE SIZE CHART ON SCUBA.COM IS DIFFERENT THAN THE MANUFACTURERS WEBSITE. I based my purchase on the size listing on this site. The fins were too small and I had to send them back for an exchange. The postage was nearly $20.

Rating: Fantastic Fins. Worth the Money
Reviewer: Daniel C.
I recently bought a pair of these fines for my wife and myself to replace some old paddle fins that caused leg and ankle tightness just minutes into every dive. These fins are fast and pain free. I dove and snorkeled with them. Since I typically have good "air use" habits diving, I had no expectation the fins would have any noticable impact on my bottom time, but they did. Without trying, I was the last person back on the dive boat for 5 of 6 dives, and had air to spare! The only shift I had to make when snorkeling was to be more mindful shorteing my kick stroke and bending a bit more at the knees. The adjustment becomes second nature very quickly. Smaller kicks (Just as the instructions and demo video suggest) really do increase your speed with less work. Although the steel springs got great reveiws, I stayed with the adjustable straps and am very happy with the feel. The sizing (with booties) I found to be consistent with your normal shoe size. Dan. The bio pro fins are awesome. They are very, very comfortable. At times, you forget that you have them on. They are very stable and maneuverable. These fins propel you with minimal effort. Even though it doesn’t feel like it at first, these fins are fast. The cool thing about this is that I wasn’t even trying. There is a difference in sizing between scuba.com and the Apollo website. Love em. Wont hesitate to buy another pair.

Reviewer: Brian S.
I absolutely love these fins. I read all the reviews, good and bad, and decided to try them out for myself. They are very easy to swim with, very easy on the ankles and knees. Other people I dive with complain of cramps, I have not experienced any problems since I switched over to the Apollo Bio Pro. I have swam in currents with no difficulty. The fins are barely even noticeable on your feet. I have not been able so skull with them, but I am still a new diver and maybe with practice. I highly recommend these fins to anyone.

I purchased two pair of the Apollo Bio Strap fins for my husband and I and we were both extremely pleased! These were the first professional fins weve purchased and the difference between the Bio Strap fins and the "run of the mill" fins weve used in the past was like night and day. We were able to snokel for hours at a time without fatique, and we were the envy of all of our fellow snorkelers! :-)

Rating: Good, but overhyped
Reviewer: Ira Winkler
When you read the reviews, and then see that the price is about double than other fins, you expect it to live up to the hype. Honestly though, the difference isnt that noticable. If you read the literature, you have to "kick" differently than you do with normal fins. It says you should use very small kicks, which takes some minor getting used to. Another drawback is the weight. They seem to weigh about twice that of a normal fin. This is only important when you have to carry or pack them. This can sometimes put you over the limit, and have you pay extra on airlines. Otherwise, the best feature is definitely the spring straps. They help you get in and out of the fins really quick. The big drawback of them, as they are tight to the footcup, is that you cannot easily slip your hands or arms through the strap to carry the fins, and if you are like me, to secure the fins while you pull yourself up a ladder. This can be a problem if for some reason you end up back in the water and you already threw your fins on the boat. Maybe as I use them more, I will come to appreciate them more. Again, theyre good, but I am not sure if the extra money is worth it

Being a new diver, I initially didnt want to spend too much money on gear since I didnt know how often Id have the opportunity to dive. After experiencing some currents on boat dives in Mexico, I decided to spend the money on the Apollo Bio Fins. What a great purchase! Leg fatigue is noticebly lessened, especially on those shore dives that require you kick out a fair distance.

Rating: Come Over to the Split Side!
Reviewer: Linda O´Connor  -  View all my reviews
As a relatively new diver, I had made the mistake of buying what was on sale from my local dive shop instead of doing research and buying the equipment would better enhance my diving experience. Decided before my next dive vacation that I would upgrade and did my homework and decided to wander over to the split side. These fins are great. Sometimes I have to look down to make sure theyre still on because I feel no ankle stress, and no cramping in my feet. Dont feel like Ive got plywood strapped to my feet. The first dive I did knock my fins together a bit, but then I figured it out and now I can keep up with the DM with minimal effort. They do not create a big amount of turbulence so I can cruise close to the bottom (as close as a newbie can!) and not muck up the dive for my fellow divers. They have mostly negative bouyancy, which I need. Did some drift diving with them and was able to crank when needed and I still wasnt tired when we surfaced. The color is closer to banana yellow than the neon yellow, if that is a factor for anyone. Replacement straps are not black, they are grey.. I ordered them but havent had to use them. Overall, straps are easy to use and adjust. I cant wait to take them out again in December. I wont go back to traditional fins Now - if only I can find a home for that first pair gently used fins...

i got certified with these fins and two years later the ocean demanded a sacrafice of one. i bought another similar pair as a replacement and dont like them as much. two months before a recent dive trip i broke my foot. i was cleared to dive for the trip but was concerned about the newer fins squeezing my feet and taxing my weakened muscles. i dove with the bio fin on the "bad" foot the wide, soft foot pocket was very comfortable on my foot and the softer rubber of the fin gave me the same propulsion of my other fin without over-taxing my weaker leg. i love these fins.

I had been having problems with leg cramps and deceided to try the Apollo fins as they were previously reviewed as to help that problem. After purchasing the Apollo fins, I have had no further leg cramps and it is like diving in house shoes. It takes little or no effort to propell myself, yet there is plently of power to move through the water even when diving with my 108CF. steel tank along with my 80CF. sling bottle. I also purchased the spring strap of which hugs my boot better than an standard strap and is easier getting off and on.

I bought my Bio Fins the very day they were available to the public and havent looked back. Easy to kick, great propulsion, and excellent maneuverability make this the perfect choice for any diver. Less stress on the divers legs means less work during the dive which in turn equals better air consumption over all.

When I first put these fins on, I was amazed at the performance and smoothness. Great fins for both newbies and old-timers. And the yellow ones will help your buddy to keep track of you.

A pair of the best fins on the market. The studied combination of length, weight, and propeller action created from the split fins provides additional propulsion, resulting in a comfortable dive.
