Its at Gilboa Quarry. In order to get to pretty much anywhere in the quarry you have to go through the Enchanted Forest. It stretches 40 yards out from shore and about 100 yards wide. Its really cool on night dives. Good, cheap place to dive with plenty to see.

actually the shallower end of it did have trees. I guess it wasnt in use for a while before they decided to flood it. Great place for training though. They have a plane, helicopter, giant grain silo type tubes, platforms, and more boats than I could count sunk in the quarry. Depths range from 15 to 130ft. There is also a deep side platform at 70 ft for the advanced students. Vis is usually 50ft or better, depending on how many students (or instructors) are there to stir up the silt. Check it out at divegilboa.com. Also whats wrong with you. Live that close to the Pacific and want to come to Gods country OH to dive. Maybe we´ll do an exchange student thing. You come here, Im going out there. Hah!. But no, it is nice, and were real close to the Great Lakes. Very nice wreck diving up there. Great guys with Brunos Dive Shop we go with.

Very cool! One day I´ll have to venture out there and check it out. What is it that makes it up? I´m assuming a quarrry didn´t have a grove of trees in the bottom of it.
