About Me:  I´m a 54 yr. old who discovered diving much later in life then I wish I had. I´ve been at it for a little more then 7 years and have about 400 ocean dives. My wife is crazier about diving then I am so we have put off many home improvements and other "normal" things likes cars and big screen TVs so we can dive. We´ve invested in the memories of a lifetime. The Wallsteet bankers can´t take that away. My investments are down 40% but the money spent on diving keeps paying great dividends!

Hi, if you like to dive around the world I am inviting you to see the first city in the continent of America, Santa Marta, at the foot of the tallest mountain in the tropic and a fortress build against the pirate´s attacks in Cartagena and dive along these two sites in the Colombian Caribbean, to do some spearfishing, photo, underwater video, wreck diving, etc., let me know the dates of your stay here to set you up and show you around, thanks

One of the best things about this sport is that it´s never too late to get involved! Even though I´ve been diving for 31 years now, I´m finding it easier to get out and enjoy it when I wish than I did when I had to deal with all the little things that are going on when we are doing families in our 20´s and working to make the ends meet and such. You are into it now at the perfect time! Have you had the chance to enjoy any more fun destinations?

Love your philosophies and your quotes. I think our mothers know each other. lol You´ve taken some great images. You ought to enter the photo contest. If you win, it means free gear. Otherwise, you might load some more to this page and share more of your experiences.

John Howison: Diving on my 50th birthday with the Undersea Hunter near the small group of rocks known as Malpelo, Within 2 3 minutes we encountered a school of 100 150 hammerhead sharks. They parted and swam around us like a teardrop. Happy birthday!
