Hey ScubaDave1 - Used to teach PE and coach in high school and college (wrestling, track and football) in my past. Great pictures!
Hi, if you like to dive around the world I am inviting you to see the first city in America, Santa Marta, at the foot of the tallest mountain in the tropic and a fortress build against the pirate´s attacks in Cartagena and dive along these two sites in the Colombian Caribbean, to do some spearfishing, photo, underwater video, wreck diving, etc., let me know the dates of your stay here to set you up and show you around, thanks
I had already done all that. Found Zee´s and all on the map just don´t recall it. but then it´s only been about 25 years since I´ve been up there diving. ;o)
Cool,My first time diving there and it was way nice. As we were going to the site, we passed under the Tacoma Narrows Bridge and could actually see it from Zee´s reef. How big is your salt water aquarium? I have a 75 bow front with a Sump pump with an extra 15 gallons tied into it. Have had it for about 12 years. Still have the Hawaiian tang which was my first fish after the tank was cycled,
Where is Zee´s Reef in relation to the old Herring Pens? Been a few years but your pics are bringing back many memories from the 80´s when I used to spend a lot of time either at the Fox Is. Bridge and other various places we could reach the water.
It´s out of Tacoma off the dive boat the “Bandito”. Do a google search for Bandito Dive Charters and look for the link off the main page called Featured Dive Sites. It was awesome. The video I took was spectacular, along with the still pictures. I only posted a few pics.
Thanks - I´ll keep that in mind.
Have you ever dove Crater Lake? Heard it´s pretty clear, if you don´t mind the hike.
Yes the set-up works really well. If you seach online for vintage scuba supply they will have everything you´ll need. Just don´t tell them your mixing it with that new fangled stuff ;)
Very cool. I also have collection of doubles hose regulators. One cool thing I did is put a transmitter on a banjo fitting and a LP hose off of the hookah port for the integrated inflator, so I have a pressure gauge, BC inflator and an alternate air source.
Were all the photos taken with a Sealife DC800?
You´ve got some great images. You forgot to list Platoon. Have you entered the photo contest yet? Would be great to see more of the NW underwater.
