Brian write the second High Altitude diving book ever written, at least in the U.S. He has presented before the Undersea Hyperbaric and Medical Society and was possibly the first person to ever advocate for deeper safety stops for recreational divers – dating back to the 1980’s when safety stops depths were still being performed at 10 feet. Diving procedures in some of Brian´s publications were even used by the State of California. He also developed the first diving software that incorporated a bubble model that calculated “deep stops” for both recreational sport divers as well as deep mixed gas technical divers. Today this method of performing stops is now becoming widely recognized and utilized as the preferred method.
