Scuba Diving Event March 5: Pine Knoll Shores, NC, USA
Join us for our annual fundraiser for the Eastern Carolina Artificial Reef Association (ECARA)! Taking place at the NC Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores, this is an evening social event featuring various exhibits on fishing and diving in North Carolina, food and drink, and a raffle. ECARA works with local partners to obtain materials, including vessels such as the Spar, to sink off our coast, and is is actively engaged in raising awareness about the importance of artificial reefs to the marine environment, and to the economy of eastern North Carolina. Scuba Diving Event February 26: Avalon, CA, USA
The Avalon Harbor Underwater Cleanup is an annual dive event held at Avalon Harbor on Catalina Island. The event was started in the 1970’s by the local dive community in an effort to cleanup Avalon Harbor, and this event is the only time diving is permitted in the Harbor. Over the years, this event has grown to become one of the most popular dive events in Southern California.The proceeds of the Avalon Harbor Underwater Cleanup benefit the Catalina Conservancy Divers Given Fund for Ocean Conservation established in the name of Dr. Robert Given and the Catalina Hyperbaric Chamber. Catalina Conservancy Divers is a support group of the Catalina Island Conservancy. The Catalina Hyperbaric Chamber is a life support recompressions chamber on Catalina that serves thousands of divers who frequent the Catalina waters.

The Great Lakes Shipwreck Preservation Society has announced the 11th annual Dive Into the Past, the Twin Cities Shipwreck and Scuba Show. This year the show will feature presentations by historians, explorers, archeologists, divers, mariners and noted authors.
