The 3Rs (Rocks, Rips and Reefs) is an entire series of courses designed to safely introduce divers to popular, local dive sites. Conducted by certified Los Angeles County Scuba Instructors, the Rocks, Rips and Reefs course includes a short educational seminar covering safe beach diving skills, certain aspects of the local marine environment, and other valuable, site-specific information. the advanced diver program is an intensive 9 week training program and hands-on course taught by the highly experienced staff of los angeles county underwater instructors and experts in the diving industry. adp is the oldest and still the best opportunity to improve your scuba diving skills. the course consists of over 100 hours of pool, ocean and classroom training. topics include decompression theory, oceanography, marine life identification, deep diving, night diving, wreck survey, photography, and much more. successful graduates will receive the highly coveted los angeles county advanced certification along with optional naui master diver, rescue diver and nitrox diver certifications.

Scuba Diving Event July 1 – July 31: International Contest, USA

The Dive-a-Thon is SDOFs largest fundraiser of the year, with the goal to “get divers diving” – while spreading our message of ocean stewardship. Similar to a walk-a-thon, divers seek financial pledges from friends and family to support their diving goal during the month of July. Divers choose to set fundraising goals and compete to log the most minutes underwater. ANY diver in the world can register for this event, and registered divers can get credit for dives completed ANYWHERE in the world during July.
