the 11th annual san diego undersea film exhibition, will be held at irwin m. jacobs qualcomm hall’s big screen auditorium in san diego on friday and saturday evenings, september 17 and 18th, 2010. utilizing a state of the art digital projection system, it will be another an exciting showcase of digital videos, most of them in high definition, by some of the finest underwater filmmakers from around the world. a different program will be presented each evening beginning at 7:00 pm.

Scuba Diving Event September 12: Austin, TX, USA

bay area divers is forming a team for the lake travis underwater clean-up scheduled for sunday, september 12, 2010. if you would like to be on the bay area divers team, please reply to this email with the information requested in the below grid by september 6, 2010. b.a.d. has been assigned to mansfield dam park for the clean-up. another team called deep blue scuba will be conducting the other side of the park as well. they will arrive sunday morning. there is not a designated section to be cleaned, it is all up for grabs. for those that would like to come saturday and campout, there will be a $20.00 per vehicle fee to campout at the park. the $10 registration fee is waived for bad members. the club has reserved pods 1 &amp 2. please indicate “yes” in the camping column if you plan to campout. a map of mansfield dam is attached. the park entry fee is also waived for sunday, september 12, 2010. please bring your certification card and release of liability form with you. our team captain, dave romano, or his designee, will distribute wristbands after proof of certification and receipt of completed release of liability form. the wristband entitles you to participate in the door prize drawings, a t-shirt, entry to the afterparty and lunch at carlos n charlies. wristband distribution will be available at mansfield dam park on saturday, september 11, and sunday morning. if you have questions, please contact david romano at dromano@skynethouston.com

welcome to surf expo, where since 1976, manufacturers and retailers in the surf, skate, water sports, swim and resort industries have come together in a business-first buying and selling environment. surf expo traces its beginnings to a 1975 board meeting of the eastern surf association when a group of ambitious sales reps rented out rooms to show their lines to the buyers who had congregated in virginia beach, va, to attend the meeting. the following year, ross houston, a board member, decided to make this more than just a “show and tell” and launched the first surf expo at cocoa beach’s cape colony hotel. by its fifth year, surf expo moved into orlando’s tupperware auditorium with 150 booths.
