Scuba Diving Event February 26: Chicago, IL, USA

The first North Central Regional Summit Conference will be held during the Our World-Underwater Dive Show on Friday, February 26, 2015 at the Hyatt Hotel in Rosemont, IL. The conference is scheduled to begin at 12:00 Noon at the Hyatt Regency O´Hare, the Host Hotel for Our World-Underwater, and end at 3:00 pm. The purpose of the Regional Summit Conference is to bring together local Retail Dive Centers, Dive Boat Operators, Dive Clubs and Local Scuba Instructors to discuss ways to increase participation in our recreation. All Industry Professionals are invited to attend. There is no cost to attend, but attendees need to RSVP for the event

the worlds premier event for commercial diving contractors, remotely operated vehicles, manned submersibles, and all other aspects of the underwater operations industry will took place at the morial convention center in new orleans, la. february 2015.the ui 2015 conference was a success, especially in light of the oil and gas industry downturn late in 2014. while turnout was effected by a small amount, looking at the last 15 years, our conference participation history indicates a solid and steady growth form year to year. like the industries we serve, ups and downs happen. we celebrate the big years together and we weather the short years together. ui 2015 was in no way a short year even though we did experience a bit of slippage, the overall conference enjoyed a high quality of attendance, industry related business meetings, and a robust technical session program.underwater interventions sponsoring organizations are non-profit, membership supported professional organizations. by supporting underwater intervention, you are supporting and giving back to the industries and communities represented at underwater intervention. proceeds from the annual conference go back into member driven programs that support education and training, provide scholarships and support safety initiatives throughout the underwater operation industries.

Participating in our Fourth Annual Cozumel Scuba Fest, December 8-13, 2015, international divers, oceanographers and photographers will enjoy this spectacular segment of the Mesoamerican Reef and pay tribute to those who have explored and protected our oceans. During four consecutive days of the six-day festival, participants will dive the nine-reef series of the Cozumel Scuba Fest Routes especially designed by Jean-Michel Cousteau, son of iconic Jacques-Yves Cousteau who, half-a century ago, thrilled at this same magnificent underwater scenery.Those who complete this Scuba Fest Dive Series will receive a personalized logbook signed by Jean-Michel Cousteau and will also become a “Friend of the Reef” and member of our network of divers recognized by the Ocean Futures Society. Dr. Sylvia Earle will also be one of the features speakers at this event to talk about challenges our oceans face and their future.Dr. Matias Nochetto and Dr. Darío Gómez, from Divers Alert Network will present three dive safety conferences at this event starting at 4pm December 10.
