Scuba Diving Event August 9: Point Dume State Park, CA, USA

The Los Angeles County Dept. of Park and Recreation Underwater Unit invites divers and ocean enthusiasts to participate in the Rocks, Rips, and Reefs program to learn how to safely plan shore-based entries and exits, and more. Location: Point Dume State Park , 7103 Westward Rd. in Malibu. Registration is at 7:30am and the program starts at 8am. It free of charge.

Scuba Diving Event August 29 – September 1: Lake Rawlings, VA, USA

scubajam virginia  (www.scubajam-va.org) was created to provide a great scuba diving experience to bsa registered youths, boys and girls, ages 11-20.  the event has been created by interested divers representing dive shops, scuba training operations and various bsa troops and venturing crews. prerequisites for participating in scuba jam virginia • youth must be 11 -20 years of age • hold an open water certification card or be under the training supervision of a  current and insured scuba instructor (non divers are welcome to camp and        snorkel. or better yet – get certified before you arrive!) and • be registered with a participating bsa troop or crew or other youth group. included • welcome packet with a commemorative t-shirt & event patch • entry to lake rawlings for the weekend  (friday through monday) • 3 nights of camping (fri-sun) • 4 days of diving (fri- mon) • unlimited air fills on 1 tank (tank rental not included) activities • treasure hunt • scuba merit badge • night diving • scavenger hunt • free diving • manufacturer demos, raffle, bbq and more

Scuba Diving Event July 4: Long Beach, CA, USA

Celebrate Independence Day with the red, white, and blue fish at the Aquarium of the Pacific. Families will be able to witness the ambiance of the Aquarium at night and get a fish-eye view of the City of Long Beach fireworks display. Wave the flag, watch the fireworks, and enjoy some freshly grilled BBQ with the Aquarium of the Pacific. You´ll also be able to journey inside the Aquarium to see wonders of the sea. BBQ hours are from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., but the Aquarium is open from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., with discounted admission starting at 5:00 p.m.
