Diving to see a Kamikaze WWII Airplane that was shot down near Pearl Harbor was surreal. Then to see that an eel had taken up residence in the cockpit was pretty amazing. Even more amazing was that the pilot survived the crash.
On a girlfriend dive trip to Bonaire we had a blast, great diving, incredible food and fun night life. In looking at my log book the following year to determine what site we were going to dive on I realized I had logged every meal! A new trip tradition!
The most awesome of all my 350+ dives and 10+ liveaboards. Chef, not a cook, diveMASTERS not monitors, Captain of the Ship was has honorable as Piccard or James T Kirk exploring the unknown lava tubes (caves), manta ray feeding and whale shark glide-by.
It was my first dive ever. After being down 30 mins, we headed back. Suddenly, within 5’ of us, we see a 7’ Eel attack an Octopus. The Octopus was fighting for it’s life. Luckily, we got it all on film … It was definately a Discovery Channel moment!
I run a shark dive project for cancer survivors and encountered a 7’ foot mako shark. We were mainly looking for blue sharks that day, but it became quite apparent why the blues suddenly left! It was my first mako dive so it was very exhilirating!
