Sealife abundant in this dive spot. Colorful fish all around, sea turtles and an occasional shark passing overhead. The largest grouper I have ever seen was just a few feet away. Visability was fantastic.
It wasn’t a long dive but it started with seeing a giant purple clam after rolling in and progressed into a swim in a huge shoal of barracuda, several whitetips and a bunch of huge bump head parrotfish – and that’s how the first dive of the weekend went
Very shallow dive, but one of the most enjoyable yet! 12+ mantas within 20 feet of me at all times, unbeliveable! Couldn’t understand why the current was so strong, then realised it was the wave being caused by their giant wings!! That’s how close it got!
working with the marine mamal stranding center to rescue a mamatee that got trapped in new jersey, and getting to feed the manatee by hand. You can see the rescue on youtube. Look for llya the manatee rescue
Night dive-during a thunderstorm. Splendid toad fish, spotted drums, and lobsters. Thousands of eyes were hidden among the coral (shrimp). Could see the lightening strikes at 45 ft. On our safety stop, I was covered with fire worms! Beautiful !!
Don’t you just love GREEN zones! Protected reef – the mantas zooming past our heads, across our hands for a scratch, and face to face with us. Big bull shark who scooted away when he met 2 strange creatures in his turf. Turtles resting hussar balling. WOW
Mild current dive with vis. of 100ft. Saw my first ever eagle ray!!! Reef was beeming with groupers, spotted eels, giant barracudas, and queen angel fish. I truly enjoyed this trip to Cozumel because I took a friend that had just been certified!
First dive since my brain tumor was removed. So excited to be back in the water. Dove with Discovery It was fantastic!! @107 ft and saw 5 sand tigers lots of barracuda. Someone needs to put a bell on these sand tigers, they will sneak up on you (lol)
