Innovative Retractable Dive Compass Review - $51.95 - Scuba Gear Customer Reviews

Posted 2/9/2012 1:58:50 PM in Scuba Gear Reviews

Rating:Innovative Retractable Dive Compass OK, a bit bulky

The compass is obviously the same one they mount on wrist bungies, just mounted on a retractor instead. It could be a lot smaller if integrated into the retractor housing, but I understand what theyve done. The retractor cable seems pretty tough, and the lock switch is nice...I extend the cable about 3" and lock it, just long enough to tuck the compass into my BCD zippered pocket when not in use while leaving it clipped to the nearest D-ring. Actual compass dial seems very good though, hence the 4- vs. 3-star review. I like it better than the more easily locked-up dial on my now defunct Oceanic "Swiv" console.

Bare 3/2mm Velocity Super-Stretch Jumpsuit / Wetsuit Review - $179.95 - Scuba Gear Customer Reviews

Posted 2/8/2012 1:37:33 PM in Scuba Gear Reviews

Rating:Bare 3/2mm Velocity Super-Stretch Jumpsuit / Wetsuit Great fit-Reasonable price!

I have rented wetsuits in the past, and not found a comfortable fit until using the Bare wetsuit supplied by the Tampa Bay Aquarium while participating in their "Swimming with the Sharks" program. The Bare 3/2 velocity super-stretch wetsuit was very comfortable and not bulky for packing. Great value for the price I paid.

Trident Mini Fish ID Card Review - $5.95 - Scuba Gear Customer Reviews

Posted 2/5/2012 1:51:50 AM in Scuba Gear Reviews

Rating:Trident Mini Fish ID Card Trident Mini Fish ID Card MINI HAWAII

I really enjoy reference materials. The Trident Mini Fish ID Card really helps the diver to prepare for the upcoming dive in Hawaiin waters by providing visual references. It is also fun to work with this card with children to build their interest in travel and diving sports. This particular Fish ID Card is tough and durable too. This item is a great value and I would recommend it highly.
