Scuba Gear Customer Review: Deep See Submersion Gloves - $20.95

Posted 10/27/2009 12:19:34 PM in Scuba Gear Reviews

Rating:Deep See Submersion Gloves Nice

I did a brief test for these gloves - I filled my sink with ice and water, and put my hands in, one with glove and one without. My hand without the glove went numb in about two minutes. I couldnt even feel anything in the glove hand, my hand wasnt even wet on the inside. Im sure this is different with depth (as I havent dove with them yet), but they are built very rugged. I am definitely happy with the glove and the price.

Scuba Gear Customer Review: Sealife DC800 8.0 Megapixel Pro Kit with Digital Pro Flash - $699.95

Posted 10/26/2009 5:08:50 PM in Scuba Gear Reviews

Rating:Sealife DC800 8.0 Megapixel Pro Kit with Digital Pro Flash Great Quality Photos and Easy to Use

This camera and flash was great! I just took it on a Live-aboard for a week in the Exuma Cays. I took over 800 photos and 30 videos. The auto external flash camera mode and auto Pro Flash took super clear photos from a few inches to 8 feet. I ran everything on auto because I am new to under water photography. I cant believe I took them they look so good! It changes mode from stills to video with a few steps. It performed better than my expectations.

Scuba Gear Customer Review: Akona 10 lbs. Roller Bag - $179.95

Posted 10/25/2009 9:27:48 AM in Scuba Gear Reviews

Rating:Akona 10 lbs. Roller Bag <10 lb Bag

This bag worked great. Meets airline standards for size. Saves weight for more gear. Beware however - if you have over-sized fins they will not fit in fin pockets -instead lay them on the bottom of the bag and fill fin pockets with other gear (ie boots, gloves, hoods etc). This bag is compact and easy to pack and will stand upright which allows you to carry a duffel on top of it without them tipping over. Seems a little expensive - but Oversize Fee is upwards of $125 per bag- so will pay for itself after one trip.
