Mares adds another wetsuit series to its M-Flex line with the all-new Graph-Flex Wetsuits. These scuba diving wetsuits offer a unique feature that even the best diving wetsuits have yet to utilize.

The ares Graph-Flex is the first scuba diving wetsuit in the world to incorporate Graphene technology into its inner lining. The so-called “miracle” Graphene fibers are melded seamlessly all over the wetsuit to increase heat retention and durability without compromising its flexibility.

The Mares Graph-Flex uses a Nobel Prize-winning material to create the perfect wetsuit for cold water diving. With this revolutionary technology, Mares was able to make one of the warmest and most flexible scuba wetsuits ever made.

The following wetsuits from the series are currently available at the Leisure Pro store:

What We Love About the Mares Graph-Flex Jumpsuits

Neoprene Rubber with Graphene-Infused Fibers

Mares infused the Nylon-2 Neoprene Rubber of the new Graph-Flex Wetsuit with Graphene fibers. Graphene, a man-made carbon material, gives the suit better flexibility, durability, and heat retention. Graphene is an allotrope of carbon. These carbon atoms form a hexagonal, honeycomb-shaped crystal lattice. Once these Graphene fibers bond together, they become stronger, more flexible, and durable, while also retaining heat better than other materials.

Graphene was first isolated by Andre Geim and Konstantin Novoselov. The two scientists made groundbreaking experiments on the two-dimensional Graphene, which led them to be awarded the Nobel prize in Physics in 2010. This material is used in other industries that produce high-end products that need the aforementioned characteristics.

Graphene fibers are a million times thinner than a human hair. It is 200 times stronger and six times lighter than steel and is ten times better at conducting heat than copper. The Graphene fibers were woven into the inner layers of the Neoprene suit to trap and reflect heat effectively. The Graphene plush lining can be found in the most vital areas of the wetsuit to offer maximum thermal comfort.

The Graphene fibers can also stretch up to 25 percent of its length, which when working in tandem with the ultra-elastic Neoprene of the suit, makes the Mares Graph-Flex wetsuit also one of the most flexible and durable scuba diving wetsuits in the market. This strength and durability give divers much-needed flexibility and protection underwater.

This Mares wetsuit and its Graphene-infused inner layers have revolutionized diving wetsuit construction in terms of warmth, comfort, function, and overall performance. Mares is the first brand in the world to launch a scuba diving wetsuit with Graphene-integrated inner linings. This design makes the Graph-Flex better at retaining heat than most materials, making it one of the best scuba diving wetsuits for any diving condition.

Sewn & Sealed Seams for Additional Durability & Heat Retention

In addition to the Graphene-infused Neoprene Rubber that makes up most of the suit, the Mares Graph-Flex wetsuit also has minimal seams that are sewn and sealed shut. The stitching of the Mares Graph-Flex suit utilizes the “S-Seal” technology. This stitching minimizes water-flow and reduces cold-water intrusion to provide increased warmth underwater.

The sewn and sealed seams, combined with the Graphene-infused inner layers of the wetsuit, make the Mares Graph-Flex the best wetsuit for diving in colder waters. The overall design of the wetsuit is sleek and streamlined, as it is anatomically cut to fit the body shape of the diver well and be free of any movement constraints. The suit also has minimal graphics and logos for a cleaner look.

Easy Self-Donning Back Zipper & Pull Tab

Another useful feature of the Mares Graph-Flex Wetsuit is its back-zipper entry. It has a pull tab for easy self-doffing and donning, making it quick and easy to wear. This wetsuit is available in varying thicknesses (3mm, 5mm, and 7mm) as well as sizes for men and women, making it the ideal wetsuit for all diving conditions. The new Graph-Flex Wetsuit is available in black and black/gray, adding to the overall sleek look of the design.

The Mares Graph-Flex wetsuit is a game-changer when it comes to scuba diving wetsuits. Using Graphene for the inner linings of the suit is ingenious in keeping the diver warm, while also maintaining the overall flexibility and durability of the wetsuit. Mares also designed other aspects of the suit to follow this trend, from having minimal seams that are sewn and sealed to reduce cold water entry, to having a sleek wetsuit design with minimal graphics. The form of the Mares Graph-Flex wetsuit follows its function perfectly.
