This is the compass to own. No consoles to flip around or constricting wrist/palm straps. Not easy to pull your arm perpendicular to your body to read when on your wrist or hand in a NW drysuit. The compass is there when I need it and retracted out of the way when I dont. Neatly clips onto my BCD. The unit is a bit bulky though … but never a bother. Good price!

i am new to diving and really dont know what i am looking for but the help from the staff at scuba.com assisted me to this compass that i need for advance open water. it is a wonderful compass easy to use and the retractable option helped with tucking it away in to a BCD pocket. would recommend this for classes or all around to have as a spare.
