Oh Oh – Did you hurt yourself today? – falling out of your chair there when the Blackhawks scored and went up for good at 6-5 in game 1. That was one high scoring game let me tell you! I guess it could have gone either way, as there were a few penalties against the Flyers that weren´t called by the refs, but by the same token the Blackhawks sure committed some stupid penalties all by themselves, and had they not played some superior penalty killing the score surely would have gone the other way I´d have to say. Of course the Blackhawks scored that shorthanded goal on a Goalie breakaway, and that one proved to be the difference in the game. I think the end score would have been even higher for the Blackhawks had the Flyers not pulled their Goalie and replaced him. The Flyers definitely had the better scoring opprtunities, and outshot the Blackhawks, but Antti Niemi was great in goal when it counted. I told you the Blackhawks were going to be tough to beat – as they definitely have the firepower as far as goal scorers. They are not a pushover team when it counts – that´s for sure. Game 2 should be just as great if this was any prelude. As Dan Aykroyd would say in The Blue Brothers movie – ´´They are on a Mission from God´´. Great game! Hope the rest of the holiday weekend day went better than the game did? Weather was pretty nice here, and I might have even found a possible soulmate if my lucky stars are being true to me! We´ll see as I waiting to hear back from her – stay tuned – details on the 10 o´clock news – hahaha. Be good – bye for now. :~)
